Collaboration at South End Technology Center

I visited @zackboston at the South End Technology Center for inspiration and collaboration. She shared her time, knowledge and resources with me.

TurtleStitch

We ran a Dragon Curve (iterative) example from the site on a Ellageo Plus embroidery machine.

We converted a TurtleArt procedure I programmed for Cynthia Solomon's birthday into an embroidered design.

We also used the vinyl cutter to create a fifteen inch tall sticker of the flower for the hood of my car.

Remixes

Susan shared a number of remixes that she and the students made of my work.

Their 3D printed LED diffusers improved on my design: multicolor LEDs that cycle and the LED fits snugly in a hole in the model, better illuminating the diffuser throughout the model. Laser cut felt is so tight and accurate.

The sugar skull design around which we collaborated to produce a 3D printed stamp and digital assets was jaw-droppingly beautiful embroidered on denim. I can't wait to applique this to a coat.
